About the owner of Cape Fear Lock & Key

Glenn Long moved to Wilmington in 1992, and attended Cape Fear Community College where he earned two associates degrees in Instrumentation and Computer Engineering Technology. Afterward, he worked as a licensed service technician, repairing any kind of scale, from railroad tracks to analytical balances.

In 2002, Glenn moved to Hampstead, NC, where he and his wife have been raising their children. Then, in 2013, he began his apprenticeship with a local licensed locksmith. After accumulating years of experience, Glenn established Cape Fear Lock & Key in 2019. Ever since, he has been providing quality and trusted mobile locksmithing services to customers all across southeastern North Carolina.

Hire a licensed locksmith

In North Carolina, locksmiths have to display a valid locksmith license at all times. To become licensed, locksmiths are fingerprinted and must pass state and federal background checks, as well as a written exam. Every 3 years, licensed locksmiths must submit proof of ongoing education and renew background checks in order to maintain licensure.
